Mike and I truly feel that there is a strong connection between wine and love, so it only seems natural to combine our passions. Our lives are about ambition, hard work, and a true passion for what we do, both together and as individuals. As life partners, as in business, we are a team in the truest sense of the word. We lift each other up through insight, and by sharing our individual business expertise to help the other succeed. We both feel that family is the number one most important thing in our lives. We work hard to keep the communication open and supportive, and love nothing more than to share this ideal with all we meet.
Some things about me: I have a reputation for being a bit of an A-type personality, or so I am told … what this means to me is – I can do it all – I can have my chocolate truffle cake and eat it too!
I started a matchmaking company in May of 2009. Prior to that, I owned a clothing store in Peterborough, and through that endeavor, I discovered I had a natural talent for networking. The decision to become a matchmaker came from the realization that I was, in a sense, already doing it. I was always introducing people, both friends and business associates, and many of them went on to form lasting, life-long love relationships. I made the move to matchmaking on a full-time basis in 2009. I was feeling the recession at the store, and I wanted to build another business where I could offer a valuable service, and not be buying and selling a physical product. Since starting Match Me, I went on to acquire 4 other matchmaking agencies, and now have 4 insightful, talented matchmakers that work alongside me in our Toronto-based office.
I am also the wife of a winemaker, Mike Traynor of Traynor Family Vineyard in Prince Edward County. I assist Mike with business decisions, and help out at the winery some weekends. I am also a “homemaker,” and keep our home filled with love, and running smoothly. I am a stepmother to Quintin (who is 13), and am very active in his life. I am a new mother to a beautiful baby girl named Audrey. I also take good care of myself – my emotional and physical well-being is so important, I feel that it’s the connective tissue that makes everything else possible. While there isn’t nearly enough time in the day to do everything I want to do, I am able to have this beautiful life, largely because of the support and love I have around me.
I am forever grateful, forever blessed. I hope you will join me on this great adventure, because there is so much more to come.
